Shortcomings
Even the great S49 and S295 players have some shortcomings. Some are:

  • When using the zoom function you cannot move the zoomed in screen up/down/left/right with for example with the cursor keys. Zooming is limited to 5x.

  • Both players do not feature a multiple disc resume function. Opening the tray is enough to loose your "bookmark".

  • The info shown on the display of these players is limited. It won't display the name of an MP3 file, JPEG file or any other file on the display.
  • The player don't show the remaining time for MP3 files.

Wish list (under construction)

- ID3 tag support for MP3 files.
